I had the incredible privilege of capturing the magic of Spiros and Petroulla's wedding day on November 19, 2022. It was a day filled with love, tradition, and unforgettable moments that I'm excited to share with you.
The day began with traditional Greek Cypriot Wedding preparations at the groom's, where Spiros and his family shared special moments and created lasting memories. Asd an experienced Greek Wedding Photographer I was there to document these moments and some cherished family portraits that captured the anticipation and excitement in the air.
Meanwhile, at the bride's , Petroulla was getting ready for her big day. The process was a work of art, as her hair and makeup were perfected before she slipped into her elegant wedding dress. Just like with the groom, we also captured her traditional preparations and stunning portraits that showcased her beauty and grace.
The ceremony took place at the Greek Orthodox Church, St. Mary's (Panagia) in Wood Green, North London. It was a moment of pure romance as Spiros and Petroulla exchanged vows, surrounded by their loved ones. The setting was both charming and intimate, setting the stage for a day filled with love.
After the ceremony, we embarked on an intimate personal shoot just outside the church. The soft, natural light of the wintery day added a touch of magic to the photographs. We knew that capturing these moments would be a challenge as the sun was setting, but it was worth it for the breathtaking shots that awaited us.
As we reached the venue, Marriott Grosvenor Square Hotel in London, we continued to capture the essence of the day. Family portraits on the dancefloor were a heartwarming reminder of the love and support surrounding the couple.Then, with just the bride and groom, we ventured into the bustling streets of Central London. The city's Christmas lights served as a backdrop, creating a truly enchanting atmosphere.
The grand entrance of Spiros and Petroulla into the ballroom was a moment of sheer magic. Their guests, eagerly waiting, were greeted with the sounds of Cleopatra, the Greek band, adding to the elegance of the evening.
The celebrations continued with a sumptuous meal, heartfelt speeches, the cutting of the cake, and the couple's first dance. The Marriott Grosvenor Square Hotel provided the perfect setting for this romantic and memorable occasion.
Throughout the night, Spiros and Petroulla, along with their guests, danced away to the sounds of traditional and modern Greek music, courtesy of Cleopatra. Among the cherished guests was Antigoni, a talented singer-songwriter from London. Her presence added a touch of musical magic to the celebration as she serenaded the couple with a few heartfelt songs. The DJ also kept the energy high, ensuring everyone had a night to remember.
