Evagoras Mandrides
The People's Photographer
I'm Evagoras Mandrides, and I've been photographing weddings since 2004. I'm Greek Cypriot and I speak Greek, and I've now photographed more than 600 weddings. Most of my Birmingham clients are Greek Cypriot families.
I specialise in Greek Cypriot and Greek Orthodox weddings, from the stolisma to the last dance. I've photographed at Holy Trinity and St Luke and at St Andrew's Cathedral in Birmingham, Holy Transfiguration in Coventry, St Nicholas and St Xenophon in Leicester and Virgin Mary Eleousa in Nottingham. Flash is almost always allowed in Greek Orthodox churches, so I can photograph the whole service. If I haven't met your priest, I introduce myself before the service.
For a Birmingham or Midlands wedding, I always stay the night before, so traffic on the day is never a worry and I'm there in good time.
I arrive about 30 minutes before the service for family photos, photograph the whole service, then take about 30 minutes of portraits at the church and about 30 minutes at your venue. If you'd like me to stay on, extra coverage (2 to 5 hours) can include the meal, the speeches, the cake cutting and the dancing.
I cover Birmingham and the whole of the Midlands: Solihull, Sutton Coldfield and Wolverhampton, Coventry, Kenilworth and Warwick, and across to Leicester, Nottingham and Derby.

Churches and venues across the Midlands where I've photographed weddings and christenings:
I haven't photographed at these yet, but I'd be glad to.
If yours isn't here, just ask.
